In Cortez-Bradenton, FL on January 27, 1949 at 10:20 at night two witnesses, acting chief of the aircraft branch of the Englin Air Force Base Captain Sames and his wife, spotted a cigar shaped object in the sky.
Describing the object as as long as two Pullman cars with seven light emitting square windows, with sparks throwing off of the object, the unidentified craft repeatedly climbed up and descended as if it were bouncing in the sky at what they guessed to be a speed of 400 miles per hour.
