The final voyage of the shuttle program is now complete, and the three decade long space shuttle program has come to an end.
A program that has inspired generations will no longer be there for future generations, but the United States is not yet out of the space business, and will hopefully, when our political climate once again becomes more hospitable to funding NASA, begin some new program with the goal of travelling deeper into space.
Thanks to the Freedom of Information Act the FBI has put up a ton of their UFO files from investigations during the period of 1947 through to 1954. Interesting old articles, photographs, and even the notes of agents complaining about being put on the UFO beat.

This cool video from a telescope webcam located in Mauna Kea, Hawaii left many wondering what it could be, and it seems it was likely an ICBM that launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California mere minutes before the halo was caught on camera.
The speculation is that the halo effect was caused as the missile dumped fuel when entering the upper atmosphere, there is as yet no official confirmation that the missile is what was responsible for this pretty cool video.
